In October Radiohead were given the "Best Act In The World" award at the annual Q Awards ceremony. This is the second year running the band have received the honour. More details can be found in the December 2002 issue of Q magazine.
According to www.radiohead.org/news/ Radiohead are now back in the UK and currently working with producer Nigel Godrich. Thom has said that the new album will not be as heavily thought out as Kid A or Amnesiac and that they "basically wanted to capture the whole performance thing really". It also looks as if an early 2003 release date is still on the cards!
While browsing www.greenplastic.com I came across a couple of articles taken from noise magazine. They focus on the latest recording sessions and on the new material that was played during a Portugal gig in June this year. This new material is expected to be included on the bands forthcoming album which could be out as soon as March 2003 according to the noise report.
Apparently Radiohead are currently recording their next studio Album in California. The first recording session started on the 1st September and is expected to last until the 15th September. Speculation that the new album will be a 'Tap style "Jazz Odyssey" have not been confirmed though
